WATERBURY- Agnes (Sangialosi) O’Loughlin, 88, of Waterbury died Friday March 22, 2013 at the Vitas Innovative Hospice Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward O’Loughlin.
Mrs. O’Loughlin was born in Otisville, NY on September 28, 1924 daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes (McNally) Sangialosi. Mrs. O’Loughlin attended grammar and high school in New York State.
Mrs. O’Loughlin formerly worked in retail at the Mademoiselle Shop in downtown Waterbury, and was a former member of Sacred Heart Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed crocheting, making many afghans for Children’s Hospitals, health care providers, and family and friends. She also enjoyed baking and cooking.
Mrs. O’Loughlin is survived by her three nephews, James F. Murray and his wife Mary Alice of Waterbury, Richard F. Murray and his wife Kathi of Waterbury, and Paul E. Murray and his wife Linda of FL. Two sisters, Patricia Dodd, and Helen Davis, both of FL, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Monday March 25, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street to SS. Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road for a Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
