         Waterbury – Bernard J. Regan, 80, of Waterbury passed away peacefully at home Wednesday March 18, 2020 surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Ruth (Pelletier) Regan.

         Mr.  Regan was born in Waterbury May 15, 1939 son of the late Bernard F. & Bernice (Quinn) Regan and was a graduate of Croft High School.  After high school he entered the U.S Air Force.  He worked as a machinist at Scovill Mfg. Co. for many years and retired from New Departure division of General Motors.

         Bernie was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Waterbury Lodge of Elks # 265.

         His family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Bernie.

         Besides his wife he is survived by his son, Steven B. Regan of Cromwell, 2 daughters, Ann Marie Tromza and her husband, John of Vernon and Mary Jean Trager and her husband Thomas of Wolcott, 5 grandchildren, Tanner Fitzsimons, Ryan Fitzsimons, Brittany Cote, Nicholas Trager and Christine Trager.         

         Memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.

          Funeral Services will be private and burial with military honors will be in New St. Joseph Cemetery.  The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. is in charge of arrangements.
