Carol A. Kemp

     WATERBURY - Carol A. (Spellman) (O’Reilly) Kemp, 82, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2020.  She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore L. Kemp.

       Carol was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 18, 1937 to the late Donald F. and Dorothy (Hickey) Spellman.  Carol graduated from Crosby High School and worked for the City of Waterbury for many years.  She was a charter member of the Waterbury Emblem Club.  She enjoyed playing cards, trips to Cape Cod, camping, and especially going out to eat with her two youngest grandchildren, Jillian and Tyler.

       Carol is survived by her sons, Kevin O’Reilly and his wife Sheila of Branford; Keith O’Reilly and his wife Lisanne of Cheshire; her daughter, Shelly Kemp of Waterbury; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; her twin sister Barbara Regan of Waterbury; her sister Nancy Cipriano of Prospect; several nieces and nephews; and her special companion, Francis Macary of Waterbury.

       Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. is in charge of arrangements.
