          WATERBURY – Carolyn J. (Koskey) Fontaine passed on from this life on Sunday November 24, 2019, due to complications associated with COPD.  For 40 years she was the wife of Roger W. Fontaine, Sr., who passed away on Christmas Day in 2000.

          Mrs. Fontaine was born and raised in Waterbury on September 5, 1942, daughter of the late Vera (Siemienuk) and Alexander Koskey, Sr.

          She was the owner and operator of Creations by Carolyn for over 20 years.

          She leaves her beloved son, Roger W. Fontaine, Jr. and dear daughter-in-law Pamela of Wolcott, a beloved brother, Alex Koskey, Jr. and sister-in-law Andrea of Destin, FL, three dear granddaughters, Nicole Fontaine and fiancé Brian Catuccio of Glastonbury, Desirée husband Bobby of Newington and Lea Fontaine of Wolcott, sister-in-law Rita O’Brien and husband Bob of West Hartford, brother-in-law Patrick Fontaine and wife Judy of Waterbury, brother-in-law Michael Fontaine and wife Denise of Oakville, brother-in-law Paul Fontaine and wife Pat of Daytona Beach, FL, many dear cousins, especially Ellen and Bob Batters of Waterbury and her most dearest oldest friend Marlene Capaldo of Southington and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Barbara A. Czarniewski and her sister-in-law Theresa Fasano and husband Thomas.

          A special thanks to her caring neighbors, James McCarley, Kenneth McCarley, Donald Foote and Willie Glissom.

          Funeral will be held Saturday November 30, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. to St. Michael Church, 62 St. Michael Drive for a Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
