Fernand "JoJo" Bournival

South Pasadena, FL- Fernand “JoJo” Bournival, Jr., 72, formerly of Waterbury, died on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Florida after a long illness.
JoJo was born in Waterbury September 14, 1948 son of the late Fernand J. Bournival, Sr. and Nancy (DiBernado) Bournival. He attended local schools and was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force.
JoJo was self-employed in the Trading Card business and also worked over the years as a house painter. He was very active in both the VFW in Florida and the VFW Oakville Post 7330 on Davis Street. JoJo also participated in events at St. Anthony’s Parish and the Community Center of Prospect. He was an avid duckpin bowler and a supporter of the Watertown High School Girls Soccer Program.
JoJo is survived by his two sons, Scott A. Bournival and his wife Veronica and Steven M. Bournival both of Plainville, his sister, Jackie Couch of Naugatuck and his brother, Roger Bournival and his wife Susan of Watertown. He also leaves five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, as well as his sister-in-law Joyce Bournival of Florida.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Robert Bournival and his brother-in-law, Ron Couch.
A Graveside service with full military honors will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street in Waterbury on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Those who plan on attending should plan on arriving at the main gate at 10:45 a.m.
