WATERBURY – Florence Rubin, 91, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2019 at Meridian Manor.
Florence was born in Westhampton Beach, Long Island, NY and resided most of her life in Waterbury. She graduated from Crosby High School and Post Junior College. She worked as an Executive Secretary in the City of Waterbury Comptroller’s Office for forty-three years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Amelia Rubin, a sister, Frieda Rubin and her husband Joe and a brother, Herman Rubin and his wife Natalie.
She is survived by her nephews, Bill and Joel Rubin, her niece, Lori Nacht and her husband Brad and grandnephews and grandniece, Jacob, Sam and Daniella Nacht.
Florence’s family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Roxanne and Robin Cracco and the staff at Meridian Manor and VITAS Hospice for the care and compassion given to Florence during her long illness.
A graveside service will be held Friday July 12, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Brass City Lodge Cemetery, Frost Road, Waterbury with Rabbi Micah Ellenson officiating.
