          WATERBURY – Frances Reilly Baker, 93, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at Waterbury Hospital on December 20, 2020.  She was the widow of John H. Baker who predeceased her in 2013.

          Frances was born in Waterbury, September 30, 1927 to John A. and Anna (Finley) Reilly, and shared the same birthday as her brother, three years younger.  Frances graduated from Sacred Heart High School and was employed by Chase Brass and Copper Company.         

          After marrying in 1965 she and her husband were owners of National Sing-O-Gram, and then Port-O-Let of CT up until her retirement.  Fran and her husband were also avid yachts people, having owned “The Life of Reilly” and considered it their second home on the CT River.  She was a communicant of St. Michael Church and a longtime member of the Bucks Hill Community Club.

          Frances is survived by her goddaughter and niece, Tara R. Walton and her husband John and their two daughters, Elizabeth and Melissa of Oakville and her beloved cat, MaMa.

          She was predeceased by her brother, John F. Reilly and his wife Vivian, and her two nephews, James and Jeffrey Reilly.

          Graveside services will be held Thursday December 24, 2020 at Old St. Joseph Cemetery, Hamilton Ave. at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Nathan Labarda, Pastor of St. Michael’s Church officiating.  The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. has been entrusted with the arrangements.
