George A. Boisvert



        WATERBURY - George A. Boisvert, 70, of Waterbury, passed on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by loved ones.  He was the husband of Maureen (McCarthy) Boisvert. They had been together for 50 years and married for nearly 45 of those years.
        George was born in Waterbury September 27, 1942 son of the late Albert G. and Bernise "Susie" Boisvert and had been a lifelong resident of Waterbury.  He graduated from Barnard Grammar School and Kaynor Technical High School, Class of 1960.
        George worked as a tool and die maker at Mattatuck Manufacturing Company, later named Teleflex in Waterbury for 37 years.  He also worked for TM Industries in East Berlin and LF Powers Gas Station in Oakville. He was on the Board of Fish & Game in Wolcott.  He had a big heart, helping hands, and a contagious laughter.
        Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Erin Boisvert of Waterbury. He was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth Boisvert.
        The funeral will be Tuesday May 7th at 9:15 a.m. from  the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. to the Basilica of The Immaculate Conception,  74 West Main St. for a Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.  Calling hours are Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
