       Hazel (Rose) Conner, 91 passed away peacefully on September 21, 2019. She was the widow of John W. Conner.
       
       She was born October 1, 1927 to Ula and Duncan Rose of Waterbury. Hazel graduated from Wilby High School and entered the workforce as a bookkeeper at a local bank. She married her husband Jack in 1948 and shortly thereafter started a family. 
       
       Hazel re-entered the workforce later in life. She worked in the catalog department at Montgomery Ward and Sears for 25 years. Hazel also did volunteer work at St. Mary's Hospital for many years after retiring. 
       
       She loved living in Wolcott and enjoyed traveling. Some of her favorite travels included trips to the Bahamas, Aruba, Hawaii, and Myrtle Beach. She was also active in the Women's Guild at Mill Plain Church. Hazel was a devoted mother and particularly proud of her two children. 
       
       She is survived by her daughter, Sharon and son-in-law Paul, and her son Wayne and daughter-in-law Betsey. Hazel also leaves behind four grandchildren, Kelly and her husband Andy, Jeff, Greg, Lynsey and her husband Ryan, along with two great grandchildren, John and Hannah. She was predeceased by her sister Freeda and husband Jack. Hazel lived a good long life and will be in our hearts forever. The family would like to thank the staff at Cook Willow Health Center for their kindness and compassion. 
       
       Funeral services are private and burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery. The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St is in charge of arrangements.
       
       In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cook Willow Health Care Center Recreation Fund, 81 Hillside Ave., Plymouth, CT 06782.
