Jeraldine (Dillane) Wilson

          WATERTOWN – Mrs. Jeraldine (Dillane) Wilson, 84, of Watertown and a longtime resident of Wolcott, where she raised her family, died Friday July 16, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Eugene M. Wilson, Sr.

          Mrs. Wilson was born in Waterbury, daughter of the late James & Alice (Hughes) (Dillane) Moulton.  She was the Valedictorian at S.S. Peter & Paul Grammar School, graduated with High Honors from Sacred Heart High School, graduated from St. Raphael’s Hospital School of Nursing and received her Master’s Degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Hartford where she also earned her Sixth-Year Certificate in Administration.   

          Mrs. Wilson worked as a Registered Nurse for 32 years at St. Raphael’s Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and Waterbury Hospital where she did private duty for many years.  She later worked as a Clinical Psychologist in the Glastonbury, Bloomfield and Bristol school systems.

          She leaves to treasure her memory three daughters, Darlene Beardsley and her husband John of Nashville TN, Judy Wilson and her fiancé John Slavin of Watertown and Karen Clarke and her husband Bill of Pomfret, CT, five grandsons, Nathaniel and Cameron Hintz, Patrick, Evan, and Timothy Clarke, her brother, Charles Moulton and his wife Paula Mastrianna of Terryville, her lifelong best friend, Marianna Sardino “love you like a sister”, and several nieces and nephews.

          Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her husband, Eugene M. Wilson, Sr., her son, Eugene M. Wilson, Jr., her brothers, James Dillane and William Moulton and her sister, Marjorie (Moulton) Parenteau.

          Mrs. Wilson’s family would like to thank her Hospice Nurse, Donna Collette and her Heath Aide, Yazmin Aponte for the wonderful care they provided.

          The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday July 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St. Waterbury.  Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. The Mass will be live streamed on the Basilica’s website: www.waterburybasilica.org/. Burial will follow in MT Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.  The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St. is assisting with the arrangements.
