John L. "Booges" Seeley

            THOMASTON – Mr. John Lawrence “Booges” Seeley, 44, of Thomaston, passed away May 1, 2013 at Hartford Hospital after a long battle with multiple illnesses.  He was the husband of Michele Lee (Tynan) Seeley.
            Mr. Seeley was born June 10, 1968 in Waterbury to the Late Robert and Jeannette (Corcoran) Seeley.  He graduated from Crosby High School and Waterbury State Technical College. 
            He was the former owner of “the Car Phone Store” now known as “The Wireless Zone”, in Torrington and Pittsfield, MA.  He later retired from Verizon Wireless.  John belonged to many social organizations including Harmony Lodge 42 A.F. & A.M., Past Master St. Andrews 64 A.F. & A.M., Sphinx Shriners, Council, Chapter, Commandary, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star and Grotto Masonic Fraternities.  He was a past officer at B.P.O.E. #265 of Waterbury Elks and a Member of the Aviglinese A.C. Club.  John liked hunting, fishing, football: San Francisco 49ERS, Hockey: Hartford Whalers, Nascar: Rusty Wallace, golf, baseball: Boston Red Sox and playing cards.
            Besides his wife, he is survived by his father-in-law, James G. Tynan, Jr., a brother, Lawrence R. Seeley and his wife Jane “Jenny”, of Thomaston, a sister Sandra (Seeley) Krutzky and her husband Frank Krutzky, Sr. and nephew Frank Krutzky, Jr. of Maryland, a niece Jaime (Krutzky) Guthrie and the special two, Josh and Dylan (DJ).  John leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  John’s family would like to thank Dr. Edmund Quinn, Dr. Stephen Widman and Dr. Mark Schoenfeld for their years of medical care as well as Dr. Gluck and his team and the staff at Bliss 10 and Bliss 9 ICU at Hartford Hospital.
            A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street, Waterbury, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.  Calling hours are Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
