Beloved wife, mother and grandmother

 

       Waterbury- Margaret Ann (Schott) Perugini, 71, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2019. She is preceded by her parents William and Margaret Schott.           

       She was born in Waterbury on November 13, 1947. Margaret attended Catholic High Class of 1965 and Nazareth (Spalding) College Class of 1969. She received her Master’s Degree in teaching from Southern Connecticut State University.

      Margaret was a teacher at St. John’s School in Watertown, CT. She was Principal of two schools; St. Joe’s School in Waterbury, CT and St. Stanislaus School in Bristol, CT. She was the Office Manager of the Waterbury YMCA before taking a teaching position for the City of Waterbury in 1989. Margaret taught at several schools in Waterbury. She started at Chase Elementary School, then moved to Walsh Magnet School, and taught at Hopeville School before retiring in 2012. While teaching for the school system, she oversaw the after-school program for the Waterbury YMCA, along with summer camp at the YMCA. She also taught CCD at Our Lady of Loretto for many years. She continued her love of teaching by becoming a Fitness Instructor for Catalyst formerly known as Bally’s and Blast. She filled her time with her love of walking and traveling.

       She is survived by her loving husband, of 32 years, Anthony Perugini. Beside her husband she is also survived by Ernest Reardon of Waterbury, CT; Patrick Reardon and his wife Maureen of Raleigh, NC; Paul Perugini of Waterbury, CT; and David Perugini and his wife Ellen Perugini of Thomaston, CT. Along with her four sons, she leaves six grandchildren Dave, Rebecca, and Robert Perugini of Thomaston, CT; and Nathaniel, Lucas, and Joshua Reardon of Raleigh, NC.

       Funeral Mass will be held Monday April 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, corner of Bunker Hill Ave. and Ardsley Road.  Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.  Calling hours are Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow St.
