Devoted Mother, Grandmother & Homemaker 

          WATERBURY – Marie (Lawlor) Farrington, 91, of Waterbury, died Monday July 12, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness.  She was the widow of Leo A. Farrington, Jr. a retired Waterbury firefighter.

          Mrs. Farrington was born in Waterbury, July 1, 1930 daughter of the late Michael and Nellie (Moteijaitis) Lawlor.  She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and was a former employee of the Southern New England Telephone Company.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and homemaker.

          Survivors include her sons, Jack, Chris and Mike Farrington and their spouses, her daughter Maureen Farrington, several grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two brothers, Eddie and Bernie Lawlor.  She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters, Tommy, Joe, Jackie, Margie and Helen.

          Marie’s family would like to thank her caregiver, Judith Scott for her excellent kindness and consideration. Also, to Dr. Jega for the wonderful care that he provided.

          Private Funeral Services were held and entombment took place at Calvary Garden Mausoleum.  The Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street assisted with the arrangements.

          Memorial contributions may be made to the Waterbury Fireman’s Aid Association, 1551 Thomaston Ave., Waterbury, CT 06704.
