          PROSPECT- Maureen (Wallace) Riley, 73, of Prospect died on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 surrounded by her family at Masonicare in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Riley.

          Maureen was born in Waterbury, November 1, 1945 daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary (Shea) Wallace. She was a graduate of St. Francis Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School, class of 1964.

          Maureen worked at Colonial Bank and the Bank of Boston and volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years.  She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

          Maureen is survived by her son, Michael W. Riley and his wife Kristan Maccini of Wethersfield and her daughter, Kathleen Riley Collette and her husband Daniel of Middlebury, 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Marguerite and Eoin Collette and Maren and Oliva Riley. Maureen is also survived by her brother, Jeremiah J. Wallace of Middlebury. She was predeceased by her brother Lawrence Wallace and her sister Kathleen Wallace.

          Funeral will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. from the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
