          WATERBURY- Rosanne (Fitzgerald) Brennan, 66, died peacefully Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Brennan.

          Rosanne was born in Waterbury on June 7, 1955 daughter of the late Roy B. Fitzgerald, Sr. and Rosemary Ann (Flanagan) Fitzgerald.

          Rosanne graduated from Notre Dame Academy and Quinnipiac University and taught for over 20 years at Mercy High School. Prior to her teaching career she formerly worked as an Occupational Therapist.

          Rosanne loved going to the YMCA, gardening, meteor showers and a good thunderstorm.

          She is survived by her daughter, Annie Mae Brennan and her fiancé Dimitri Arvanitakis of Trumbull and two brothers, Roy “Chip” Fitzgerald, Jr. and his wife Cindy, and David W. Fitzgerald of Middlebury and was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Fitzgerald and her sister, Cathleen Beckett.

          The Brennan and Fitzgerald families would like to thank Judy Dingle for the care and love she provided to Rosanne over the years.

          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin Street in Waterbury. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Murphy Funeral Home, 115 Willow Street.

          Those attending are requested to please wear a facemask while at the funeral home.
